Daniel Dumile aka Zev Love X aka King Geedorah aka Viktor Vaughn aka MF Doom!! In my opinion to this day Doom is the most talented artist to emerge from the wreckage that is modern hip hop. Originally part of the group KMD, MF Doom came about after Dumile's disenchantment with the hip hop industry and the death of his brother. Always performing behind a mask Dumile has kept his personal life private, preferring to use his incredible talent to put forward his views on the world. So for Nike SB to get him to agree to a collaboration shoe is no mean feat. The shoe you see above has been created to coincide with the release of the album MM Food and is one of the hottest SB's for sometime.
Collaborations are ten a penny these days but every now and then something special comes along. To coincide with the release of The Simpsons Movie, Vans comissioned 14 artists to design a shoe featuring the worlds most famous family. Stash, Kaws, Mr Cartoon, Jeff McFetridge, Futura and Neckface amongst others came up with some incredible creations which unfortunately for me and pretty much everyone else on the planet were only available in very limited numbers. Check out E-bay for the already daft prices these are fetching. Oh and if anyone has a size US9.5 in the Kaws shoe get in touch!!

If you're looking for authentic Chinese food in Edinburgh then look no further than Chop Chop on Morrison Street just up from the Haymarket train station. We're talking a seriously good scran for not much cash and be sure to try the fried dumplings. Awesome and as the sign on the window says "1 Billion People Can't Be Wrong"
The UK Vans tour will be hitting up Glasgow this August with a mighty healthy team of skaters. Danny Wainwirght, Ben Grove, Howard Cooke, Pete King, Marc Churchill to name a few.

If you're in the city of Edinburgh on Friday 29th June be sure to pop along to the brand new juice bar Hula in the Grassmarket for a brand new show called "In the future we still break" by local lurker Culprit.
And if that wasn't enough artistry for you the very same day, Analogue Books across the street have a new exhbition titled Under a Bush by Yokoland, a Norwegian design collective from errr Norway.

It's coming up for that time of the year again where Deak, Paul "Silky" Sylvester, Jamie Bolland and Aiden Taylor start the Radworx skate tuition at a park or community centre near you from the 2nd of July. They've just launched their new site which has all the info you'll need here.
Now in our 5th season with our favourite New York label UARM and these guys keep going from strength to strength. Currently winging it's way across the Atlantic ocean is the Summer 2007 collection and this season expect artwork by Mark Gonzales, Faile, Bast, Space Invader, Black Label, Thom Lessner and Andrew Jeffrey Wright amongst others.
At long last the UK's first skate shoe company has arrived. Many months in the planning and a very ambitious project, Mcarta gets it's name from the Magna Carta, the first bill of Human Rights. We have 3 different styles of shoe in 9 colourways including the D-Lux you can see above. Two of the colourways have been designed by Bristol's 50-50 skate shop.
The Glasgow store has just had a visit from Div, Paul Sylvester and Alex Irvine on there way to pick up Stew Graham and Benson for the Creature premiere at Scotlands finest skatepark, Transition Extreme in Aberdeen. The film starts at 7pm followed by a BBQ then the onslaught of the bowl begins. I'm sure it'll be a frenzied affair, who knows the Notorious P.I.G. might get the slashes out!

John Rattray was recently on Fuel TV's "The Daily Habit" where he talked about his recent trip to Mexico, Sonic Youth and how Snickers give him heartburn. The only thing he never said was what a Scotsman wears under his kilt, got to keep those American girls guessing. Also under discussion was the Trees for Tomorrow project where proceeds for Johns' new Leaf deck go towards sustainable forests. A worthy cause indeed. John is wearing one of the best t-shirts ever, Stew Graham's big heid. Congratulations to Stew and Chelsea on the birth of their second daughter Olivia, so named so it can be shortened to Livi! Go on.
Just had a new batch of the Focus X Josimar t-s delivered. We've had a healthy restock of the Kelly Green and Black colourways and the new colourway you see above.
