Just back from a Blueprint filming trip in Malaga, Focus team rider Colin Kennedy let slip he was getting a wheel on Spitfire, well here's the proof. Colin now ranks 4th on the Scottish export list under whisky, shortbread and Irn Bru.

The Elph exhibits.
If you're in the Edinburgh area between now and February 11th, I would highly recommend, no insist! that you go and visit our good friends at Analogue Books in the Grassmarket area of the city and have a gander at the quite superb show by the legendary Elph. Supported by Dist One, the show utilises the whole space to amazing effect and the attention to detail is amazing. Anyway don't take my word for it, go see.

Darkness gives way to light, but only very slowly mind!
As the old saying goes "It's grim up North". A fairly apt description of the Scottish winter, but as the month of January fades into obscurity, there is hope brothers and sisters, there is hope. The days are slowly getting lighter and the concrete a little drier. So with this new found optimism lets have a quick rundown of what's happening out of store in 2006.
At long last the new website will be launched by Spring with all new video footage, improved store and much more. After a non starter on the second Focus movie last year, our newly assembled team of Videographers are beginning the year long task of assembling the as yet untitled sequel. Our newest team rider John Rattray is going to be sending some zeros and ones across the Atlantic once he gets located. We're planning a Focus skatepark tour in the early Spring/Summer more details as and when. Anyone fancy a game of S.K.A.T.E? Check back soon for details on a Bi-Coastal contest happening soon. We've been promised some more visiting skate teams this year in Scotland with the East boys being first to visit, check the post below for more details on that visit and the premiere of their new movie Vapors. The young guns of the team Alex, Blair, Mark, Jamie and Gavin should all be sorted out this year with their respective shoe and board flows courtesy of Nike, Cliche, Blueprint etc. And for all the Glasgow heads we're on the lookout for some West Coast hook ups. Keep at it!!
Anyways that's all for just now. More news to follow soon. Over and oot.

Another Alex wins.
Alex Craig, the man behind H'min Bam, recently made a loosely skate related film with a collective of film makers for Fuel TV. Although us skaters don't like the word competition, this was a competition against eight other films entered. Well folks, the news on the street is that Alex and chums won! This is great news as they have been given a rather large amount of Canadian dollars to make another. Reaction from Alex was, 'Shit, we've won.' Maybe we'll be able to let you see it soon. Keep tuned or watch Fuel TV square eyes.

Quarter of a century old.......and counting.
Last year was the 25th anniversary of Livingston skatepark and to celebrate this momentous occasion we knocked up some t-shirts which are still available to buy. Scottish photographers Andy Shaw and Alex Irvine supplied the images and Chris Young designed the sleeve print featured in the photo to the right. There are only 100 of each designed produced and each t has a 25th Anniversary sticker.
For every T sold £5 goes to fund the annual Livi Skate Party and over £700 has been raised so far.
Want to buy one? Click here to purchase.
See you in June.

Hawaii comes to Dundee...
Dundee is the location for Scotlands newest concrete park and by jingo it's looking good. With more lines than Kate Moss and a Wallows inspired section this is just one more reason why we Scots should count ourselves lucky. Check out Dundee Concrete for more views of the park.
And the Edinburgh skatepark? Lets hope we have some news soon.
P.S If you're not familiar with The Wallows check out Powell Peraltas Animal Chin movie and forever be ashamed that you haven't seen it until now.

Nike SB Futura X P-Rod.
We first spotted this shoe last April at the launch party of the P-Rod shoe in Paris and were told that it was purely a promtional shoe never to be released. Fortunately that turned out to be a bluff and this Futura designed P-Rod sneaker is only a matter of days away. We'll have a limited number of these shoes available to buy instore only in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Focus moves westwards......
December the 12th was the opening date for our new store in the City of Glasgow. At the helm are ex Edinburgh store manager Mark Foster and Uncle John and Whitelock'er Jamie Bolland. We've got skate hardware a'plenty, a huge selection of shoes and clothing from Volcom, Fenchurch, UARM and Dope. And if that wasn't good enough we're right next door to Bar Mono which also houses the most excellent Monorail record store.
We've got a raft of things planned for 2006 with the first being the Scottish premiere of the new East movie Vapors. It should be sometime in February and in attendance will be the East team and Sidewalk magazine.
Click here for a map to the store.
