Sign this petition!

Someone in their infinite wisdom has decided that over 18's should not be allowed to use the new London Bridge skatepark as it will protect younger skaters from "grooming".

Quite possibly one of the daftest things I've ever heard to be honest.

If you feel that this insane rule should be scrapped sign the online petition right here.

Cheers!

Epicly Scottish min!!

Patrick O Dell's online tv show Epicly Latered features John Rattray with a special guest appearance from Mr Stu Graham and keep your eyes peeled for some other exiled Scots. Very entertaining.

I'm going on Safari, I may be some time....

Just arrived in both our stores are the highly anticipated Zoom Tre Safari. The colourway is inspired by the classic Air Safari shoe and is, in my mind, one of the great sneakers of all time. The original Safari's go for a mint these days but you can have a slice of the Safari action for a much more modest £69.95. Also comes with spare orange laces for a nice little flip. Phone either Glasgow on 0141 548 8777 or Edinburgh on 0131 229 9009 for mail order or buy them right here.

The Hundreds.......

Just received an e-mail from L.A confirming that we are going to be the sole stockist in Edinburgh of The Hundreds. We've been fans of The Hundreds for a while now and we're stoked to be working with them and offering it up to yourselves.

If you're not familiar with The Hundreds, (why not?) in their own words here's what they're about.....

"Our line is inspired by "Los Angeles Lifestyle / California Culture," and our roots within the skateboarding, punk, and hip-hop subcultures. The design is reminiscent of 1980s surf-culture t-shirts, independent skateboard company apparel of the 1990s, and the advent of "streetwear" at the turn of the millennium."

First drop should be here in the next month or so.

The Hundreds.
Zine.

Yes we're here, stop asking!

Thanks to everyone that turned up for the Vans UK team signing in the Glasgow store. A few heads like Danny Wainright and Frank Stevens were missing. Howard Cooke had to get back for a gig he is playing tonight somewhere down south. Olly Tyreman suffered a boken arm yesterday at Dunblane skatepark, nae luck mate. Our mate Tez, trucker and tea drinker extrodinaire was driving the huge Vans tour bus, you wouldn't miss that in a hurry. The weather cleared and they were off to meet the crowds at Kelvingrove skatepark with a ton of stuff to give away. All in all a good day.
Look out for a limited Vans 40 Year Anniversay deck, signed by the UK team as a prize on our competition page soon.

Vans UK Tour

The UK Vans tour will be hitting up Glasgow this August with a mighty healthy team of skaters. Danny Wainwirght, Ross McGourin, Ben Grove, Chris Oliver, Howard Cooke, Pete King, Marc Churchill to name a few plus special guests.

The team will be in the Glasgow shop at 1pm today (Wednesday 1st) then on to Kelvingrove in the afternoon.

Phone 0141 548 8777 for more details or check vans.co.uk for updates.
