War Of The Thistles III Footage

Some ridiculous skating went down at Aberdeen's amazingly named 'Transition Extreme' skatepark on the first of WOTT's two legs last weekend. Joe Lynskey & Kris Vile's stuff over the driveway and also Benson & Aaron Sweeney's stuff in the bowl area is what stands out for me.

Nice to see people making good use of the big daft banks/rails at Unit 23 here, Neil Smith's feeble down the long rail is pretty daft. Is it just me or does the old bowl look tiny and slow now that the new bigger bowl is there?

Unit 23's new bowl is finished

The back area of Unit 23's first hall had been closed off for some time as construction got under way on this monster of a bowl, but now it's complete and ready for the upcoming War Of The Thistles weekend. There are still places left on the WOTT bus (leaving from Eddinburgh) if anyone needs them, get in touch with either shop for more info.

The most craziest trick I ever did see

Phoenix Am went down in the old US of A last weekend, and this video
is definitely one of the highlights. If you think a nollie double heelflip down a ten set during a heated best trick session is daft, wait til you see the winner.

Edinburgh Skatepark - Round 3

After a couple of aborted attempts the Edinburgh outdoor skate park is back on the table again. The plans are to locate it in a less controversial site and hopefully this time it'll come off.

My main hope is that the gear on display in the picture is mandatory.

The Stussy Spring 08 collection has started to arrive and is looking as fly as always. This season Stussy have two sub collections in addition to the main line. Graffiti legend Futura has created a range of t-s, jackets and accessories in his own inimitable style. After the success of the Glasgow show the guys behind Nothing But The Art have taken their show on the road. Dundee's newest store, Concrete Jungle are hosting an exhibition of sneaker inspired art from some of Scotlands hottest artists. The opening night is this Sunday the 9th March with an after party featuring DJ Apollo. Check the flyer for details.
