i have sent my comments to the planning permission, and have also sent a lenthy e-mail to sarah boyack(msp)we must get this skatepark built, the save the inverleith park campaign is way of the mark, inverleith park is not being taken away or damaged in any way,it does not need to be saved!!!!!the people/locals who use inverleith will still be able to so without any problems or changes, the skatepark being within it wont stop them enjoying the place, nothing is being taken away ,the skatepark is only an addition to the park, edinburgh and its skate community needs and deserves this facility, and not before time,i urge anyone with an interest to get your say over now.

here is acopy of the comments i sent the planning dept.i really hope this proposal is passed, the skate park has to go somewhere and within inverleith park is a perfect site for it,the objectors dont seem to realise its not their own private front garden, the park is for recreation for all of edinburghs residents,if the skatepark is built within it,this wont stop them enjoying the park,to be honest most of them wont realise its there,i think they are really over-reacting and most of them have been misinformed, the save the inverleith park campaign is way off the mark,i honestly think that the public(given the correct information)would be in favour of the skatepark proposals,i hope you(the planning dept)realise this, edinburgh needs this type of facility and inverleith park is suitable for it.

This is the stuff that keeps skateboarding on fire.
They can oppose all they like...It's just the sort of thing that makes a scene stronger.

Good luck.
